What to know before you start.
Are saxophone fingerings the same on alto and tenor?
The basic key system is largely shared across soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, although written range and instrument-specific alternatives can differ.
Can I turn the fingerings off?
Yes. The panel supports hidden, fixed and animated display modes.
Which notes support animated fingerings?
The animated panel currently uses the prepared written pitches available in the app between C4 and C6. The selector below only shows pitches that are actually present in that fingering map.
Why are animated fingerings unavailable on some content?
The animated timeline depends on fingering data prepared for the selected song or exercise. SaxoTools indicates when that data is not available.
Is there a simple fingering chart?
Yes. Use the free web fingering chart to select a written note and inspect the corresponding keys.
